Michael George Clodfelter age 46 of Gautier, MS passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Michael was a native of Chicago, IL, and moved to the Gulf Coast retiring from the US Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 26 years.. He acquired many commendations during his Naval career which include four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, Global War on Terrorism with FMF, Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, five Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medals, Navy Unit Commendation, four Navy "E" ribbons, and seven Sea Service Deployment Medals. Michael earned his Associates Degree from MS Gulf Coast Community College.
Michael loved fishing, riding his Harley, watching football and enjoying life with friends and his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Ernist Clodfelter and his mother Linda Louise Khien.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Nicole Clodfelter of Gautier, MS; his children, Brandon Clodfelter; one daughter, Morgan Clodfelter; daughter in law Kristina Kountouris; and one brother, Alec Clodfelter.
Michael was a devoted father, and friend. He lived his life through the happiness of others and always strived to better those around him. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
A graveside service with full Navy honors will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery.
