Michael Andrew Berger, Sr. was born on July 22, 1933, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived a life filled with dedication and service, which was evident throughout his career and personal endeavors. With a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Michael contributed his skills and knowledge while working at NASA and Chrysler, two prominent organizations where he made a mark.
His journey also included honorable service in the Air Force, showcasing his commitment to his country. Michael passed away on January 24, 2026, in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and resilience.
Michael is survived by his son, Michael A. Berger, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Darlene. He cherished his role as a grandfather to Michael Berger IV, Erik Vilbourg, and Candice Vilbourg, and took great pride in being a great-grandfather to Lilli Berger.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Norma Gerger, and his daughter, Michelle Berger Vilbourg. Michael also leaves to remember him his cherished grandchildren, Michael Berger III, Tiffany Berger, and Krystal Vilbourg.
Michael Andrew Berger, Sr. will be remembered for his contributions to engineering, his military service, and the love he shared with his family. He touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
A private graveside service will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery.
