Melvin Page, age 95 of the Lizana Community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2015 in Gulfport.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Smith Page and only son, Melvin N. Page, Sr.
He is survived by his grandson, Melvin N. (Kym) Page, Jr. and his granddaughters, Crystal Page Perkins of Lizana and Tacy Page (Derrick) Triplett of Saucier; his great grandchildren, Ashleigh Page (Taylor Wells), Jonathan Page, Brennan Malley, Lane Perkins, Lesley Perkins, Clint Perkins, Jr. and DJ (Ann Marie) Triplett and one great-great grandson, Brayden Cole Wells.
Melvin was a longtime member of the Orange Grove Masonic Lodge #635 in Gulfport, a heavy equipment operator and a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #624. Papa will be greatly missed but we can take solace in celebrating the long and fulfilling life he lived, and all the lives he touched along the way.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 6pm-9pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Wolf River Cemetery.
