Melba Kay Smith, age 61, of Kiln, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vert and Bernettie Ladner; her brothers, U.J. and Leo Ladner; and her husband, Leslie Smith.
She is survived by her children, Katie (Kenneth, Jr.) Malley of Pass Christian, Jennifer (Jim) Luketich of San Antonio, TX, Shelly (Wil) Coleman of Long Beach; her siblings, Yvonne Beech, Lorena Cuevas, Matilda (Pat) Head and Jessee (Eileen) Ladner; her sisters-in-law, Christine and Yvonne Ladner; her 16 grandchildren; her 10 great grandchildren; and her many nieces and nephews that she loved like her children.
Melba was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano, singing, and enjoyed spending time with her family.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013, at 3:30 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd., Pass Christian, with a visitation from 12:30 PM until the service. Burial will follow at Wolf Creek Cemetery.
