Mattie H. McMinn

Mattie H. McMinn, age 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by love, on January 8, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.

Mattie was born in Rosehill, Mississippi and graduated from Rosehill High School. She retired from BellSouth then was employed at the Biloxi VA until she retired. She loved to sew, crochet, and cook.

Mattie was preceded in death by her mother, Audrey Merrill; her husband of 61 years, Charles McMinn; her son, Michael McMinn; and all her siblings. She is survived by her son, Mark McMinn (Rendi); her daughter-in-law, Barbara McMinn; her grandchildren, Michele McMinn, Emma McMinn, Mandy Massengale, Jackson McMinn, and Halie Smith; and her great grandchildren, Addie, Avery, Ryleigh, Jack, Oliver, Vivian, Morgan, Ashtyn, Camille, and Everett.

The family would like to thank Arian at Encompass Health and Select Specialty Hospital for their wonderful care of Mattie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, Mississippi 39531. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m.

Burial will be private at Biloxi National Cemetery.
