Matthew James Rowley

Matthew James Rowley, age 53, of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his mothers, Kathleen Ann Rowley and Carole Ann Petersen; and his father, Richard H. Rowley.

Matthew is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Shelia Rowley; children, Heather (Kegan) Rowley, Marcus (Vicky) Worrel, Krystal Rowley, Kassy Johnson, Dick (Sam) Yerke, Terry (Jessica) Yerke, Freddy (Amber) Abrahamsen; siblings, Kris (Todd) Kitchenmaster and Mike (Sue) Rowley; and grandchildren, Jack Campbell, Melissa Forster, James Forster, Nyklas Johnson, Charli Johnson, Vincent Sherrard, Oliver Moreno, and Hadley Yerke.

Matthew was a native of St. Paul, MN. He was a Seabee in the USN from August of 1996 till 2016. He worked at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in New Orleans from September 18, 2016, until October 9, 2021, and then at the Veteran’s Administration in Biloxi. He enjoyed bowling, war games, dragons, cars, and races.

In lieu of flowers family is requesting plants, artificial flowers or balloons.
