Matilda ""Tillie"" Nettles, age 86, of Gulfport, passed away on November 11, 2015 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Nettles; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by her three children, Bj Fernandez and her husband, Ray, of Long Beach, Teresa Hall and Nancy Vierling and her husband, David, all of Gulfport; a sister, Mary Soroka of Plymouth, PA; six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
She was known as the 'Avon Lady' for over forty two years where she was a top salesperson, winner of numerous sales awards, and member of the President's Club. She was an avid gardener and was passionate about growing and caring for her flowers.
She was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Gulfport.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from Noon until the Mass. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
