Mrs. Masie Ila Winstead, 92, died Friday November 22, 2013.
She was a native of Philadelphia, Ms. and has been a resident of Gulfport for 56 years.
Mrs. Winstead was married to the late Bert William Winstead for 62 years and they were longtime members of New Hope Baptist Church of Gulfport.
She was the daughter of the late William Ellis Moore and Clarinda Ann Sikes Moore and was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Masie is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Opal Mitchell of Meridian, MS, and Mrs. Mazine Winstead of Philadelphia, MS.
She was the mother of six children, Mary Jeanette Mullinax (Maurice), Frederick Allen Winstead (Connie), Helen Masie Juneau (Robert), David William Winstead (Ann), Clair Reesie Kovac (Drag), and James Bert Winstead and grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Noon at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport with a visitation for family and friends from 10:30 AM until Noon. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
