MaryAnn Pagano

MaryAnn Pagano Scarborough passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the age of 81.

She is survived by her daughter, Daneen Fitzsimmons; her grandchildren, Ashley Brownlee, Brandy Smith, Cara Scarborough, MaryClaire Scarborough, Joshua Cashwell, Nick Scarborough, Brad Scarborough, and Jared Scarborough; her great-grandchildren Hayley Smith, Carley Dedeaux, Emma Bradbury, and Colby Hayes; and her great-great-grandchildren Amar Purdy and Liam Scarborough.

She is also survived by her siblings, Mildred “ZuZu” Reid, Shannon Parker, Rosie Andrews, Cathy Schultz, Gaytona Bradley, Salvador Anthony (Rocky) Pagano, Jr, and Deanna D’Aquin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Salvdor Anthony Pagano, Sr. and Mildred Pagano, and her sons, Darrin Scarborough and Scooter Scarborough.

MaryAnn lived a beautiful and abundant life, surrounded by a large family who loved her deeply. Her heart, her strength, and her unwavering love touched everyone blessed enough to know her.

MaryAnn, your life was fuller than most people ever get to experience—overflowing with love, joy, and pure goodness. You truly were an angel on this earth. I hope we honor you in a way that reflects the incredible light you brought into all of our lives. Give Jesus, Darrin, and Scooter a hug for us, because we know you went straight to heaven in an instant with all the love you carried in your heart. “Love you more.”

Thank you, MaryAnn, for the unconditional love you poured into every soul that crossed your path, and for the firecracker spirit that always let the world know exactly what was on your mind. Your legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on through all of us.

Visitation will be on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 1 - 2 pm at the St. Paul Chapel, Scenic Drive, Pass Christian. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm in the church. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
