Mary E. Walker age 61, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016. Mary was a native of Gulfport, MS and a long-time resident.
She was born August 29, 1955 in Gulfport, MS to the late John Savoy and the late Alma Pillars Savoy. She married Alfred Walker, Sr. and together they had two children, Shuan and Jake.
She was preceded in death by her son, Damien Shuan Savoy (Shuan); her mother, Alma P. Savoy; her father John Savoy; sister, Nina J. Moore; and her brothers, Kenneth J. Savoy, John A. Savoy and Filmore Allen.
She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Alfred Walker, Jr. (Jake); and her husband Alfred Walker Sr. of Gulfport, MS; her grandchildren, Alfred Walker III and Kirsten L. Walker of Gulfport, MS; her sisters, Laura Savoy of Gulfport, MS, Catherine Savoy of Lithonia, GA, Mary Freeman of Long Beach, MS, and Cynthia (Shelby) Johnson of Memphis, TN; her brothers Melvin Savoy of Lithonia, GA, Darrel Savoy and Wayne Savoy of Long Beach, MS and Samuel (Kate) Allen of Gulfport, MS along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at The Nourishing Place, 630 Tennessee Street, Gulfport, MS 39507.
