Mary Lou Legg Thomas age 76 a native of Charleston, WV., and a resident of Biloxi, MS., since 1974, passed away at her home on March 25, 2025.
She was a 1963 graduate of Sissonville High School.
Mary Lou retired from Ingal’s Shipbuilding after 33 years of service to the company. She never missed a day of work, always showed up at least 30 minutes early not only at work, but for any appointment she had. In addition, she worked cleaning churches on Sunday evenings after services to support her children.
Mary Lou loved cross stitching, feeding wildlife, baking, working crossword puzzles, getting pedicures among other things. She was a Christian and was a strong republican supporter.
Mary was always the first to help someone in need. Especially when no one else would. She had a laugh that was infectious, and when she would really get to laughing hard, she would slap her knee. She never gave up on people, and she showed her children the importance of hard work, money management and sacrifice. She always forgave those who made apologies to her and then moved on in the relationship.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Margie Legg; her former husbands, Fred Mullins, Jim Thomas and Marrion Lovelace.
She is survived by her children, Michael Mullins, Christina Tsoutsikios, Teresa Herrington and Nicole Ruiz; her sister, Lynn Mooney; her grandchildren, Christopher Stewart, Sarah Gaudet, Erin Spratley and Sophie Sorey; great grandchildren, Addilyn Boothe, Levi Spratley, Robert Gaudet; a host of other friends and relatives.
