Mary Ann Shaw of the Crane Creek community passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 81 years old.

She was born on February 4, 1945, in Pascagoula, Mississippi. A devoted wife, mother, and beloved “Nanny,” she dedicated much of her life to caring for others. She first devoted herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mother before pursuing her education and earning her degree as a Registered Nurse. Mary Ann went on to work at the Gulfport VA, where she found great fulfillment in caring for and serving our nation’s veterans.

Mary Ann was a faithful member of Crane Creek Baptist Church and a proud member of the Order of the Eastern Star for 50 years. She cherished the peaceful life she shared in the Crane Creek community and enjoyed traveling, making memories with loved ones, and spending time with her family and many dear friends. Above all, Mary Ann treasured her family. Her kindness, caring nature, and devotion to those she loved will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but the love and memories she shared with her family and friends will remain in their hearts for years to come.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Crayton Larry Shaw; her mother, Jeanie Faye Smith Foretich and stepfather, O.V. Davis and her brothers, Harley Davis and Larry Dedeaux.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Shaw and his wife, Sharon; her granddaughter, Jenna Shaw; her sister-in-law, Janis Dedeaux; her brother-in-law, Ray Shaw (Brenda); her sister-in-law, Estell Lee Shaw, nephews, nieces and many other family members and friends.

Brother Harry Davis will officiate the service at 2:00 pm on Tuesday September 15, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Crane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Perkinston, MS.
