of Gulfport, MS, passed away on September 6, 2019
.
Mary was born April 28, 1928 the daughter of Morris J. Campbell and Elizabeth Thurow Campbell.
Mary was a native of Wisconsin but had lived in Gulfport, MS for 50 years .
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, George and Ray; daughter, Linda and husband Robert; countless friends and relatives; a dog named Matilda; a cat named Sheba; and, several other strays that found their way to Mom's door.
Mary is survived by her three sons, Robert of Madison, WI, Michael of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, and Patrick of Daleville, AL; her 5 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Mary was a gentle soul and loved by those who knew her. Until he died in 2005, Mary was the 24/7 caretaker for her disabled Vietnam Veteran husband.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Whitehall Extended Care in Dothan, AL for making Mom's final days more comfortable.
The graveside service for Mary will be held at 12:30 pm on Friday , September 13, 2019 at the Biloxi National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband of 58 years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity.
