Mary H. Miller

Mary Ellen Hunsberger Miller passed from this life on June 19, 2015. Following a short illness. She was born on April 9, 1929, in Telford, PA to Hiram N. and Estella (Hendricks) Hunsberger.
She attended Goshen College where she met her husband Max Miller of Gulfport. They were married on November 5, 1949 in Doylestown, PA. After a short time of employment at Purdue University in Indiana, they moved to Mississippi where they operated a dairy farm and raised six children.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007, her parents, and a granddaughter Kristi Lynn Miller in 1987.
Mary is survived by three daughters and three sons, 11 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Her children are Carol Miller (Allan Kauffman), Goshen, IN, Judith Miller (Paul White, Jr.), Broadway, VA, Janet (Ron) Byers, Sarasota, FL, Steven (Dorothy) Miller, Gary (Dorothy) Miller, and Scott (Suzanne) Miller, all of Gulfport.
In addition, three sisters survive: Ruthea Curry, Gulfport, Wilma (Don) Kauffman, Eau Claire, WI, and Hazel Hunsberger, Hattiesburg.
Mary retired from the U. S. Postal Service as a rural delivery carrier. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, travelling with her husband, and singing with the group Seven Sisters. She was a faithful member of Gulfhaven Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 24, at Gulfhaven Mennonite Church with visitation at 2:00 and funeral service at 3:00. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery.
