Mary Hope Miles, age 85, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 in Gulfport. She was a nurse at Gulfport Memorial Hospital during the 1960s and 1970s with her lifelong friend, Catherine Glidewell. After that she had a long illustrious career redoing houses in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard A. Miles; parents, George A. Powell and Charity Tucker Powell.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Smith (Alana); Danny Smith (Kathy); Vicky Smith; Jimmy O. Miles, Sr.(Crystal) and Ricky Miles; 5 grandchildren, Jourdan Smith Tillman, Cooper Smith, Nicole Smith, Jonathan Smith and Jimmy O. Miles, Jr.; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.
A private family service will be held at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. An interment will be held at Floral Hills Cemetery in Gulfport.
