Mary Alice McCloud

Mary McCloud, affectionately as “Mom” or “Mimi”, passed away on September 28, 2023.

Mary was born in Ohio and lived in many places across the United States. She was a former butcher and worked as an EMT for many years. She was an avid LSU and Saints fan and could be found on her front porch listening to the games on the AM radio. Her life’s focus was on her family.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Ann Oldfield Roper; father, Jimmy McCloud; stepfather, Charles David Roper; and stepdaughter, Amy Lee Boots.

She is survived by her children, Philip Roper (Rita), Tommy Chambers, Sara McCloud, Alicia Nicole Wilson, and Jayson Roy Wilson; grandchildren, Adaline Roper, Oliver Roper, Christopher Chambers, Alyssa McCloud, Jack Rain Brown; and stepbrothers and stepsisters, Jeff Roper, Kim Garn, David Roper, and Christy Franks.

A gathering will be held at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach, on Thursday, October 5, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
