~~Mary Lou "Jolly" Hoda, age 86, went home to her Savior Thursday, November 23, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a grandson.
She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Nathan Hoda; her two sons, Jay Dillon(Nuning) and Pat Dillon(Margo); her daughter, Joni Clack; her brother, Sonny Harper(Karen); her two sisters, Joyce Harper Collett and Phyllis Allen(Tom); her two stepsons, Nathan Corky Hoda and Barry Hoda(Kim); grandchildren; Jena, Carlie, Stephen, Chris, Cody, Maggie, Sean, Seth, Melissa and Jon-Jon; great- grandchildren, Dreux and Jessie, many nieces and nephews.
She was a native of West Virginia and attended Penn State. Jolly was a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), dedicated to alleviating pain, always trying to ease discomfort. As an entrepreneur she owned North American Surgical Corporation of Louisiana, Coast Medical, and Plantation Country Antiques.
She loved the Catholic Church, gardening, her chickens, traveling and cooking. She was active in Diamondhead Garden Club, Diamondhead Women's Club, Krewe of Selene, and Krewe of Diamondhead.
Jolly recently wrote this poem:
A crash isn't always a bad thing
Tho at first it may surely seem
But look for the good in all things
Take time to reflect and dream

The first visitation for family friends will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln DeLisle Rd., Pass Christian. The second visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11:00 AM, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln DeLisle Rd., Pass Christian. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 9113 Kiln Delisle Road, Pass Christian; and again on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the funeral home from 9 until 10:30 a.m.
The funeral procession will leave at 10:45 a.m. from the funeral home to go to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery at Rotten Bayou.
