Mary Claire ""Bootie"" Currin Hight, age 69, of Diamondhead, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015.
She was born in Montgomery, AL, to Bernard and Mary Currin. Growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, she graduated from Biloxi High School in 1964. Bootie worked at Sears for many years, worked in real estate prior to Hurricane Katrina, and retired in 2006. She enjoyed Mardi Gras and carnival season and loved to go shopping and searching for antiques. As an animal lover, her dogs were very close to her heart.
Mrs. Hight was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gene Hight of Diamondhead; her children, Cymon (Timi) Hight of CA, and Rian (Stephanie, and her daughter, Hailey Catherine) Hight of Bay St. Louis; her sister, Christy A. (Tommy) Franklin of Long Beach; her brother, Bernard W. ""Corky"" Currin, Jr. of TX; and her nieces, Sara Franklin (Kevin) Daniel of Webster, TX, and Catherine Franklin (Will) Collins of Gulfport.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015, from 9:30-11:00 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln-Delise Rd., Kiln, MS, with a memorial service beginning at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel.
