Mary Griffenberg, age 81, passed away on May 16, 2018 in Gulfport, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Griffenberg; parents, James and Myrtle Holbrook; daughter, Mary Lorraine Hedstrom; granddaughter, Brandy Hildtbrandt, and Kelly Griffenberg; three sisters, Margaret, Doris, Nora; and four brothers, James, William, Charles, and Edward.
She is survived by her five children, Ruth A. Sowell (Mike) of Saucier, Georgia Ann Futch (Bobby) of Warner Robins, GA, William Lee Griffenberg (Ava) of San Antonio, TX, Paula Denise Sikkens (Michael) of Saucier, Paul Dennis Griffenberg (Cheryl) of Weilton, WV; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Jeff Davis Campus and worked as an LPN at Gulf Coast Community Hospital and Memorial Hospital at Gulfport. She was also the first EMT in Warminster, PA in Bucks County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lizana.
Funeral services will be on Friday May 25, 2018 at 11 AM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be from 9 AM - 11 AM. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery.
