Mary Elliott

Mary I. Nason Groue Elliott, age 74, of Latimer, passed away Friday, June 19, 2015.
Mrs. Elliott was born to William Oscar and Emma Sue Dees Nason in Drew, MS. She spent most of her life on the coast and formerly worked at Keesler Air Force Base in Food Services. She loved cooking and spending time with family, and she was known to make the best chicken and cornbread dressing ever.
She was preceded in death by her husband Donald J. Elliott; her parents; her infant daughter, Jackie Groue; and her siblings, Harold Nason, Floyce Bischoff, Eddie Pearl Armagust, and Effie Nason Smith.
She is survived by her children, Ron Groue (Sandy), Matt Groue (Pam), Becky Groue Taylor, all of Latimer, and Eric Groue (Amye) of Vancleave; brothers, Sidney Nason (Lil) of Senatobia, MS, and Hester Nason (Connie) of Macon, MS; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, corner of Lemoyne Blvd. and Washington Ave., from 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at 10:00 AM.
Burial will follow in Groue Cemetery.
