Mary “Dolly” Elizabeth Heinig, age 75 of Biloxi, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.

Dolly is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Wayne Heinig; her sons, Edwin Heinig and Paul (Jamie) Heinig; her grandchildren, Nicholaus Heinig, Tamara (Ricky) Floyd, Mechelle (Brad) Lewis and Kenny (Kayla) Hollis; her sisters, Rose Armstrong, Emma Sinclaire and Anna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born in Birmingham, Alabama, Dolly was raised in California, where she graduated from high school. A few years after graduation, she met the love of her life, Wayne. The two were married in 1970 and shared 55 wonderful years together.

As a military family, they lived in several places throughout Wayne's service, including California, Arizona, Germany, and Mississippi. After welcoming their two sons, Dolly answered her own call to serve by enlisting in the United States Air Force. She served honorably for four years as a radio operator.

Following her military service, Dolly began a career with Walmart, where she worked faithfully for 15 years before retiring.

In retirement, Dolly found joy in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed working puzzles, creating latch hook projects, and watching television and movies. More than anything, she treasured the time she spent with her family.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd., West Jackson County, with visitation for friends to gather beginning at 1:00 pm. Graveside service will follow at Swetman Cemetery.
