Mary Beth
Fields
October 30, 1955 – February 25, 2026
Mary Beth Fields, age 70, passed away on February 25, 2026, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She was born in Biloxi, Mississippi, and was a longtime resident of Gulfport.
Mary Beth was a devoted military spouse of the U.S. Army and dedicated much of her life to supporting her family and community
She was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Fenton Fields; her parents, Cyril A. and Leontine Z. Washer; her siblings, Cyril A. Washer III, Raymond D Washer, Douglas E. Washer, Kathy L. Heaton, and Sharon A. Miller.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Fields (Kristy), of Sackets Harbor, New York, and Amy Fields (William L. Blaine) of Gulfport, Mississippi. She is also survived by her siblings Patricia A. Ward, Carolyn W. Dailey, Barbara Washer Cohen, David J. Washer, James T. Washer, and Michael F. Washer; her grandchildren, Kaylee Elizabeth Fields and Abigail Grace Fields of Sackets Harbor, New York; as well as many other beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Her love, her strength, and her unmistakable sense humor will live on in each of us. This is not goodbye — just as she always said, “See ya ’round like a donut!”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society at events.nationalmssociety.org.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Kim, and to the staff of Vital Caring Hospice — Nicole and the entire team — for their compassionate care and support.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach, Mississippi, is honored to be assisting the family.
