Mary Ann Adamo

Mary Ann Adamo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on August 31, 2023, in D'Iberville, MS. She was born on November 15, 1934, in Hammond, Louisiana. Mary Ann was the daughter of John and Rosa (nee Mitchell) Governale.
 Mary Ann was a kind and nurturing woman who dedicated her life to her family. Mary Ann and Pete were blessed with two sons, Peter "Pete" Adamo Jr. and AJ Adamo.

 Mary Ann's greatest joy came from being a mother and grandmother. She was incredibly devoted to her children and grandchildren, always there to offer guidance, support, and unconditional love.

 In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother,  one of her greatest joys was cooking for others.  Mary Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 Mary Ann is survived by her son, AJ Adamo (Connie); grandsons Corey Adamo, Drew Adamo (Delaney); daughter-in-law Linda Adamo; brother Pat Governale (Peggy Vicari); sister Rosalie Delaughter (Mike).

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Pete Adamo Sr., her son, Pete Adamo, Jr.: her parents John and Rosa Governale; sisters Virginia "Jenny" Lewis, Francis Lewis, Josie Schiro, Margaret Fresina,, and Angelina Adamo; and brothers Angelo Governale and John Governale.

 A visitation will be held on September 6, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Latimer Assembly of God Church in Ocean Springs, MS. This will be followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Mary Ann will be laid to rest in the Latimer Assembly of God Church Cemetery.
