Martin R. Seidman, 83, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home on Sunday, October 19, 2025. He was a native of Baltimore, MD and a resident of Biloxi, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie Baumhol and Eli Seidman, and his son, Theodore A. Seidman. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Melanie, and daughters Lauren Mintzer (Laurence), Amanda Marino (Antonio) and grandchildren, Kira, Jack, Antonio, and Naomi.
Marty graduated from the University of Baltimore and proudly served his country in the Reserves of the Army and the Air Force. He had an extensive and distinguished career as a Special Agent and a Group Supervisor for the Department of the Treasury, U.S. Customs Service, retiring from the New Orleans Field office in 1995.
Our beloved Marty was a gentleman with quick sense of humor and one who greatly enjoyed the company of his friends and family. For 17 of his retirement years, Marty sailed and walked the boardwalk at Pacific Beach in San Diego. In 2019, Marty moved to Biloxi, MS. In 2020, he was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. He was a kind and considerate man to the end, consistently thanking his caregivers for their loving care.
On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Marty was interred at Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, MS. A ceremony of commemoration of his tombstone will occur in October 2026.
