Martha Roberts

Ruth Roberts, age 91, of Vancleave, formerly of Gulfport, passed away on August 13, 2017.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Allen Bond; her mother, Lucille Pittman Rogers; and a sister, Catherine Thomas.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Elana Ruth Roberts and Phyllis (Harvey) Bond; a sister, Dorothy Rogers King; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was born in Arkansas and was raised in Coffeeville, MS. She worked with Sydney Smith in the Vocation Rehabilitation Division for the State of MS for 40 years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., with visitation from 11:00 until service time, on Thursday, August 17, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Vancleave on Hwy 57. Burial will follow at Vancleave #2 Cemetery.
