Marley Paul Walker, age 80 of Gulfport, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his first wife, Lula Langley Walker; his parents, Lester and Elizabeth Aken Walker; his sisters, Dolores Van Slooten and Joanne Bakker; his brothers-in-law, Max Bakker, Lloyd Bakker and Robert Van Slooten; and his son-in-law, Bruce Fischer.

Marley is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Walker; his children, Brenton Walker, Kevin (Julie) Walker, Penny Waller, Debra Snyder Fischer, Robert (Vicki) Snyder and Steven Snyder; his two sisters, Barbara Bakker and Diana (Ken) Beltman; grandchildren, Andrew Walker, Michael B. Walker, Stephen Walker, Christopher Walker, Michael P. Walker, Anna (Logan) Waller Wilson, Timothy Waller, Denver Snyder, Logan Snyder, Kirra Snyder, Jeena Snyder and Hamidou Ngoungou; his great grandchildren, Aiden Walker, Kayleigh Snyder, Oakley Snyder, Abby Wilson, Becca Wilson and Micah Wilson; and many nephews and nieces and family friends.

Marley is a native of Holland, MI, but most recently resided in Gulfport, MS with his wife, Nancy. Marley received an associate degree from Pensacola Junior College and later received a bachelor degree from Hood College, Frederick, MD.  He was a strong patriot who was very proud of his time spent serving his country through 37 years with the United States Navy.  He believed in helping others, shown by his involvement in the Methodist NOMAD organization for most of his retired life.  Family was very important to him, and he loved being outdoors, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing and spending time with his family, especially at the lake. Marley was a proud member of Kiwanis, Masons and the Methodist NOMADS where this family requests memorial contributions to be made in his name – Methodist NOMADS, P.O.
