Marlene A. Gillich passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, surrounded by family and friends at home.  She was a lifelong resident of Biloxi and attended Biloxi High School.  Mrs. Gillich was the owner and operator of the Beacon Gift Shop located on West Beach Blvd.  In her younger years, she was an avid bowler.
She was preceded in death by her father, Osborne Redding and her mother Artemese (Catchot) Demourelle; and her sister, Shirley Desporte.
Mrs. Gillich is survived by her four children, Marlene (Keith) Pisarich, Michael Joseph (Joe) Gillich, Tina (Bobby Braun) Gillich, and Mike (Brittany) Gillich, III; three grandchildren, Keith (Dusti) Pisarich, Jr., Heather Leigh Gillich, and Mia Marlene Gillich; one great-grandson, Collins Pisarich.
Before and after retirement, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.  She was a great mentor not only to the members of her family, but their friends as well.
Mrs. Gillich was of the Catholic faith and a member of Nativity Parish.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral, Biloxi,MS,with a visitation for family and friends from 12:00 PM until the service.  Burial will follow at Southern Memorial Park.
