Marlene Louise Hoda Daniels

Marlene Louise Hoda Daniels, age 76, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 31, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Kiln and a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church.
She loved playing hand and foot, playing bingo, keeping in touch with everyone by telephone, taking care of her many cats and taking care of her family. She was the piece that held her puzzle together.
She was preceded in death by her parents Catherine and Ares Hoda, Sr., husband Albert Daniels, Sr., brothers Ares Joseph Hoda, Jr. and Larry Hoda, and lifelong friend Chester Ladner. She is survived by her children Albert Daniels, Jr., Katherine Ann Daniels (Coon), Donna Davis, Melinda Rose (Steve), Melissa Guillot, Stevie Daniels (Kristie), Rhonda Tyler (Alexander), Wanda Flowers (Anthony) and Randy Daniels (Angela); two sisters Helen Scarborough (Oscar) and Linda Ladner (Norman); 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous friends and extended family.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church beginning at 10 a.m. for family and 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. for extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. with cremation to follow. Food can be taken to the parish hall. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to the Misty Daniels Benefit Fund at any Hancock Bank location.
