Marjorie W. Miller

August 4, 1921 — May 8, 2013

Mrs. Marjorie Worrell Miller died peacefully at her home in Gulfport, MS on May 8, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born August 4, 1921 in Ebenezer, MS, she moved to Tchula, MS, where she attended Tchula Consolidated High School.
Marjorie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who traveled extensively with her husband, Richard Miller, a member of the U.S. Air Force.
After a career as a purchasing agent for the Air Force Base Exchange, she dedicated her life to the American Red Cross as a volunteer for the Keesler Medical Center, and then as a volunteer for Garden Park Hospital.
She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Perkinston Chapter #376, Order of the Eastern Star, and was on the Advisory Board for the Rainbow Girls. Marjorie was also an active member of Community Baptist Church in Gulfport.
Marjorie loved gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, listening to music and watching TV movies on SYFY every Saturday. She enjoyed a cold glass of sweet iced tea while relaxing with family and friends, which was truly her greatest pleasure.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Joanna and Frederick Worrell; her husband, Richard Miller; a daughter, Marjorie Ball; a granddaughter, Celeste Lowe; and a grandson, Richard Winn.
Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Winn; her grandchildren, Charles Tibbs and Geneva Salter; her sisters, Emmaline Ware and Miriam Vance; and her brother, Malcolm Worrell.
Marjorie's beautiful spirit and loving nature will be sadly missed by all whose hearts she has touched.
