Marion (Rottier) Ruegsegger, age 80, passed away on May 12, 2024 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She was born in Malone, New York, and graduated from Franklin Academy. Her parents were William V. Rottier and Isabelle Bova Rottier. Within a year from graduation, she married Wendel Ruegsegger, and traveled with him during his 28 year career with the US Air Force, and a second 20 year career with U.S. Customs. She moved to Biloxi in 2008, after Wendel retired.
She volunteered in many different areas, starting in Hawaii, where she was honored as Volunteer of the Year by the State of Hawaii. She also volunteered with Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at the school, St. Vincent de Paul and Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William V. Rottier and Isabelle (Bova) Rottier; four brothers, Michael Rottier, William V. Rottier, Jr., Louis Rottier; Darrel (Dick) Rottier, and a sister, Susan (Rottier) Perry.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, SMSGT Wendel Lee Ruegsegger (USAF Retired); three children, Wendel L. Ruegsegger, Jr., Annette Marie Ruegsegger, Kemmy Sue Lee; sister, Theresa Barney; and one brother, Douglas Rottier (Monica).
Visitation will be 1:30 PM - 2:00 pm, with Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS. A light reception will follow the services at the funeral home's reception center.
