Marilyn Christie Partch

Marilyn Janice Christie Partch of Ocean Springs MS went home to be with her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 3, 2025.

A breast cancer survivor of over 30 years, and a survivor of a vehicle accident as a pedestrian, she truly was a strong lady. She continued the fight to recover from a stroke in February of this year.

Marilyn was born to Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Christie in Barre,VT on Aug 10, 1936 and graduated from Spalding High School in 1954 where she was known as “Chris”. She married her high school sweetheart, Karl T. Partch after he completed his Army commitment, on October 20, 1956. After the wedding at Church of the Good Shepherd in Barre, they traveled west to New Mexico where Karl worked as a cook in his own diner.

They eventually moved to El Paso, Texas where she lived for 55 years. Marilyn was a homemaker and had various occupations over her lifetime. She was a member of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in El Paso and served the congregation by sending birthday cards to the parishioners.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; Bruce and Melvin and her husband of 60 years, Karl Partch.

Marilyn is survived by brothers, Noel (Jeanine) Christie and John Christie as well as half-sister Lori (Mike) Petrochko and half-brother Frank Montgomery; daughters: Karlene McHatton, Rhonda Partch-Hervol, Ellen Daniels, Karen (Jack) DePineuil; grandchildren: Nickolas (Johanna) Park, Kristen(Joe) Boarman, Angelica Park, Jessica (Josh) Jones, Brandi (Eric) DePineuil, Delanie (Blake) Grier, and Aaren DePineuil; and great grandchildren: Maddox, Nathan, Liam, Lucian, Brena, Everleigh, Daisy, Helen, Nolan, and Thomas.
