Marilyn Ready Handley

Marilyn Ready Handley, 69, of Picayune, MS, passed away May 13th, 2025.  Born on June 1, 1955, in Waynesboro, MS, to the late Edward and Josephine Ready.  She later moved to Picayune, MS, with her family and also lived in Bay St. Louis.  She was an Administrative Assistant for the Picayune Item.  One of her loves in life was enjoying good music and a good crawfish boil with a cold beer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Handley; sister, Donna Ready; and nephews, Louis E. Prendergast III and Gage Lucas.

Survivors include her sisters, Tinka Lucas (Harry), Shirley Prendergast (Louie), and Lisa Counts (Donnie); brother, Bill Ready; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
