Mrs. Marie Elise Porretto passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 in New Orleans, LA at the age of 88.
She was born in Dallas, TX and reared in New Orleans, LA. Marie spent her adult life living in Bogalusa, Biloxi, and New Orleans for the last 12 years. She was a devoted mother, wife, and Catholic.
Mrs. Porretto was preceded in death by her husband, Albert F. Porretto, Sr.; mother, Stella Fabacher Bosworth; father, Robert J. Bosworth, Sr.; sister, Stella Bosworth Fransen; and brother, Robert J. Bosworth, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Albert F. Porretto, Jr. of Gretna, LA, Janine M. Porretto of Bogalusa, LA, and John R. Porretto of Houston, TX; sisters, Miriam Bosworth O'Neil of California and Carolyn Bosworth Eason of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Alvin L. Bosworth of Austin, TX; grandchildren, Skyler A. Wade of Bogalusa, LA and Tate S. Wade of Bogalusa, LA; and one great grandchild, Willow Olivia Silvia of Bogalusa, LA.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, June 3, 2013 at 9:15 am at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Rd, Biloxi, MS. Interment will be at Biloxi National Cemetery, immediately following Mass.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests donations be made in Mrs. Porretto's name to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, TX 77025.
