Marie Louise ""Weezie"" Durel, age 67, of Long Beach, passed away on march 23, 2016.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Durel, Jr., a son, Thomas Lee Strickland, Jr. 2 brothers, Alvin and Stephen Durel.
Survivors include her daughter, April McMurphy, a grandson, Sawyer McMurphy, 2 sister, Marie Wise and Floretta Guardia, a brother, William Durel, III, and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She devoted her life to caring for others. Family was her life.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Monday, March 28, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach. Visitation will be from 9 - 10 am. Interment will be in Live Oak Cemetery.
