Maria Spence

Maria Elena Spence, age 65, of Gulfport, passed away May 29, 2022.

She was born in Mexico to Juan Spence and Juana Guzman. She was a hardworking, loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to her family. She was a great cook and loved going to the casino. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Ricardo Zayas.

Maria is survived by her husband of 37 years, Julio Zayas; her children, Julio Cesar Zayas, Guillermo Zayas (Angelica Palacios), and Tomas Zayas (Jeannie Bigler); her siblings; and her 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, from 1:30-3:30pm. The funeral service will follow at 3:30pm and will be officiate by Father Daniel Martinez-Patino.
