Margarite E. Edwards, age 100, of Mississippi, entered into eternal rest on November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. A native and lifelong resident of Diamondhead, Mississippi, Marguerite lived a long and beautiful life marked by devotion to her family, her community, and to the country she supported faithfully alongside her beloved husband.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Commander William Eugene Edwards, U.S. Navy, with whom she shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life anchored in service, faith, and steadfast love. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Francesco and Emilia (Saccocia) Iacueo.

Her loving children survive her, Diane E. Edwards Morton and William Eugene Edwards, Jr., who will forever cherish the guidance, strength, and warmth she so freely gave.

A devoted wife and mother, Marguerite found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments, dancing, gardening, and cooking Italian meals for the ones she loved. She was exceptionally gifted in the kitchen, and her home was always filled with laughter, delicious food, and the comforting feeling of being welcome.

Proud of her education and eager to help others, Marguerite volunteered with Navy Relief in San Francisco before dedicating an extraordinary 30 years of service to the Keesler Air Force Base Pharmacy. Her commitment and compassion were honored with a distinguished 30-year service plaque, a testament to the countless lives she touched.

Marguerite was a woman of quiet strength and deep Catholic faith, carrying her beliefs with humility and grace throughout every season of her life.

To her family and friends, she leaves a legacy of kindness, service, and love. Her 100 years were a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will forever remain a source of comfort and inspiration.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to all who have supported them during this time.
