Margaret Naylor passed away on November 16, 2015, surrounded by the family she loved so fiercely and who loved her in return.
Originally born in Atlanta, Georgia, Margaret was a resident of the Gulf Coast for over 60 years. She loved her Mississippi home and took great pride in explaining where she was from - ""the coast"". From Virginia to Hawaii and all points in between, there was no place like home.
Margaret celebrated life with gusto. The Atlanta Braves and the New Orleans Saints provided many highs and so many lows, but her support never wavered. That same enthusiasm carried over to every pursuit in which her grandchildren participated. From soccer to ballet, from horse shows to basketball, their beloved ""Tutu"" was always front and center applauding the first solo, holding her breath in anticipation of a clean round, or cheering a made free throw.
Margaret was a registered nurse for over 40 years, and the majority of her career was spent at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS., where she formed lifelong friendships and positively impacted the lives of the many for whom she cared.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Denise, son-in-law, Kirk, granddaughters, Helen and Katherine, grandson-in-law, Patrick, great-grandson, Tilden, her son, Richard, daughter-in-law Suzanne, and grandsons, Riley and Aidan. Margaret returns home to the coast to be buried next to her beloved husband, T.P. Naylor. Services will be held Monday, November 23, 2015, at 2:00 P.M. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
The family would like to thank Faith Presbyterian Hospice of Dallas, especially nurses Melora, Catherine, Lisa and Elizabeth who gave such amazing care and support. And a special thanks to Monica who tenderly loved and cared for our mother. Our family could not have travelled this road without you all.
