Margaret Elizabeth Gorman, age 85 of Gulfport, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her parents Florin “Cotton” and Evie Fayard and her loving husband of 44 years, Joe Gorman.

Margaret is survived by her children, Karl (Denice) Gorman and Jodi (Skip) Howard; her grandchildren, Michael (Andrea) Woods, Korey Gorman, Nikki (Justin) Jefferson and Allison (Chris) Sexton; her great grandchildren, Madison Naramore, Blake Naramore, Allysa Woods, Kuhleigha Woods, Jordyn Woods, Avery Rivers, Jenna Jefferson, Levi Jefferson, Braxton Sexton, Cooper Sexton, Jaqueline Fry, Kamden Fry, Dale Fry and Jaida-Rhey Barling ; her siblings, Juanita Bunn, Patricia (Frank) Reagan, Doug (Sue) Fayard and Chuck (Carolyn) Fayard; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret was born in Mobile, Alabama, and was raised in Gulfport, Mississippi, where she graduated from high school. She met the love of her life, Joe, and they shared 44 wonderful years filled with love and created countless cherished memories.

Margaret dedicated 35 years of her life to Walmart. She was proud to be part of the team that opened the Supercenter on Highway 49, where she worked faithfully until her retirement. Her dedication to her work and the people she worked alongside was a meaningful part of her life.

She was a faithful member of Bel Aire Baptist Church and a proud member of the Red Hat Society. Margaret enjoyed traveling, cooking, and spending time with the people she loved most. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Margaret had a heart of gold and a kindness that touched everyone who knew her. She was the kind of person who would do anything for anybody and never hesitated to lend a helping hand, offer a listening ear, or simply be there when someone needed her.

Later in life, Margaret lovingly cared for her mother, Evie, until her passing. Caring for those she loved was simply who Margaret was.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched.

Graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
