Marc Bruce Groves

Marc “Bruce” Groves was born and raised in Biloxi, MS and resided in Gulfport, MS for the last 20 years. He graduated from St. Martin High School in 1987 and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Bruce left home at 20 and lived in San Diego, CA and Seward, AK, before returning to Biloxi at the age of 29.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, George and Hazel Jones and his maternal grandparents, Arnot and Corene Groves. Also gone too soon, his beloved buddy boy, Dood Dog.

He leaves behind his parents, Ronald and Penelope Groves; his brother, Derek Groves, and the love of his life and his whole heart, his daughter, Paige Groves. He will be missed by a large family and many close friends who he considered to be family.

Bruce was his very best outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed both every chance he got. His other passions were boating, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends. Bruce was very strong in his faith, diligent in his scripture readings and daily devotionals and relied on prayer daily. He always enjoyed the fun things in life. Bruce had the kindest soul and the biggest heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service for him will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Biloxi First United Methodist Church, 14220 Shriners Blvd., Biloxi, MS, 39532 with visitation will be held from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm and a reception to follow.
