Mamie Alice Simmons, age 91 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Thursday, January 7, 2010, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Simmons was a member of the American Legion, and lived her life for her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mrs. Simmons is preceded in death by her parents, John C. & Eliza Oglesbee Simmons.
She is survived by her sons, Mack Eugene Waltman and Tom Ryles; five grandchildren, Mark Waltman, Stacey Hardy, Suzanne Prince, Darlene Waltman, and Dale Waltman; nine great-grandchildren, Mark Ellis Waltman, Ashley Taylor, Hannah Parrish, Elizabeth Dixon, Amanda Devall, Lindsey Hardy, Allan Martel, Cassie Martel, and Darin Martel, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010, from 6pm-9pm at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at 10am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi.
