Diamondhead

Major General David Eulin White, U.S. Army, Ret, age 85, of Diamondhead, passed away on August 11, 2023.

“Dave” was born in Springfield, Missouri, in 1938. After retiring from the Army and later the private sector, Dave enjoyed golf, oil painting, reading, and genealogy research. A deeply religious man, Dave was a Benedictine Oblate and was affiliated with the Benedictine Sisters of Cullman, Alabama at Sacred Heart Monastery.

He is survived by his wife, Dr. Jan Vinita White, son Timothy White, stepson Fr. Samuel Wilson, S.J., brother Danny White, sister Jan Hervey, and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son David.

In lieu of flowers, Dave made it known that he wanted memorial contributions made to Friends of Hancock County Shelter, PO Box 2274, Bay Saint Louis, MS, 39521-2274.

The family thanks Dr. William Striegel, M.D., of Ocean Springs, and the care team at Dunbar Village Terrace in Bay St. Louis for their attentiveness, compassion, and exemplary care.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 10:30 - 11 am at Annunciation Catholic Church, 5370 Kiln DeLisle Road, Kiln, MS 39556. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am in the church. Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery following the mass.
