Madelynn Ann Schoeneck

March 16, 2014 — March 30, 2023

Biloxi

Madelynn Ann Schoeneck, age 9, of Biloxi, MS,  left this world surrounded by her loving family on March 30, 2023 in Mobile, AL.

Madelynn is survived by her mother, Jessica Schoeneck; her grandma, Debora Schoeneck; her Aunts, Christine Frey, Elizabeth Voegtlin, and Ariel Nicole Spence; her uncles, John Schoeneck, Michael “Mike” Frey; and her great grandma, Darlene Tyson.

Madelynn was a loving, affectionate, social little girl who loved people and always captivated the attention of any room she entered.  She was a bright light despite her difficulties and always made people love her from the moment they met her.

Madelynn accomplished many things in her nine years that doctors thought she would never be able to do.  She loved proving them wrong and learning new things.  Her doctors considered her a “mystery within a mystery” and she was always achieving new ways to explore the world around her.  Madelynn’s highest achievement came at the end of her life when she was able to save five lives through organ donation.

Madelynn had many hobbies and things she enjoyed, including, books and story time, being around animals, music especially John Cougar Mellencamp and Tom Petty, dancing to music, going to the movies especially with grandma, bowling, Mickey Mouse, zombies, balloons and bubbles, bright colors, playing with her toys, spending time with mom, but the thing she loved the most was going to school and playing with other kids.  She also loved food even though she couldn’t eat by mouth.

Although Madelynn had such a short time here in this world, she lived a huge life, loved big, and left a lasting positive impact on so many.  She loved her mom and grandma, and we know she did her best to stay with us.  The world is now dimmer without her, and our lives will never be the same.

The visitation for Madelynn will be held from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi, Mississippi.
