Obituary

Lynn Kay McCollum, age 78, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026.

Born on March 21, 1948, in Twin Falls, Idaho, she made Biloxi her home for the past 10 years. She shared a beautiful marriage of 59 years with her devoted husband, Ray E. McCollum, whose love and companionship were the foundation of her life.

She was a woman of deep faith whose greatest joys were found in her family, her church, and the simple blessings of everyday life. She loved reading her picture books, attending Bible study and fellowship, tending to her flowers, and spending time with those she loved. Known for her kindness and unwavering loyalty, she was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Ray E. McCollum; her children, Nyle L. McCollum and Drue (Stephanie) McCollum; her grandchildren, Forrest McCollum, River (Madison) McCollum, Hunter (Kylie) McCollum, Summer McCollum, and Jade McCollum; her great-grandchildren, Grey William McCollum and Isla Jade McCollum; her niece, Sheena (Evan) Van Wagenen; and her great nieces and nephews, Hannah Smith, Dane Van Wagenen, Garrett Smith, Brooke Van Wagenen, and Gunnar Smith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Arnold and Adaline Aufderheide.

"I am who God says I am. I have what God says I have. I can do what God says I can do."

These words reflected the faith that guided her throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Calvary Gulf Coast
