Mrs. Lydia Whitaker Hoff (neÌe Fischer), of Wiggins, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the age of 79.
Lydia was born to parents, Edward and Mildred Fischer on November 8, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana. She grew up as the eldest of four children. In 1951, she married William ""Bill"" Whitaker. Lydia and Bill had six children. Bill succumbed to cancer in 1965.
Lydia married Robert ""Rob"" Hoff in 1986. Together, they shared thirty years of happiness. According to their six children, ""They may not have it all together, but together, they have it all.""
Lydia is survived by her daughters, Cher Barefoot, Sylvia Logan (Tom), Laurie Lavender (Marty), Joy Potter (Jeff), Lydia ""Dee"" Berry (Brian), and a son William ""Bill"" Whitaker (Cindy); her sisters, Joan Hernandez, and Gail Crespo, 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Lydia's wishes were to be cremated and the family request any donations are sent to: Canon Hospice, Camp Swan, 1520 Broad Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501. They are grateful for the condolences.
