Lula Simmons

Lula Simmons, age 89, went to Heaven on June 14, 2022.

Lula Simmons was born December 8, 1932, in Gulfport MS.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 plus years Pete Simmons.

Lula is survived by her son Eddie Simmons and daughter-in-law Karen.

Lula was a full-time homemaker and found great joy in taking care of her family. She enjoyed keeping a vegetable garden year-round and tending to her roses. Lula loved the Lord and thanked God for every day she was given. She was a member of Michael Memorial Baptist Church and in her younger days served in the children’s church. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, and friend. She will be missed but will be seen again one day.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30am, Friday, June 17, 2022, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS. A funeral service will be after the visitation at 10:30am. Interment is at the Wolf River Cemetery.
