Lula Pearl Holden Vance Osborn, age 97 of Biloxi, MS passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. She was born in Bristol, TN where she lived until moving to Roanoke, VA for 10 years. When she married her military husband, she and her children moved to New Orleans for the next 25 years. When he returned from Vietnam as a disabled Vet, they moved to Biloxi where she made her home for the last 30 years.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Osborn; two sons, Johnny and Randy Vance; mother, Louemma Rogers Holden Feathers; father, Clyde Maynard Holden; brothers Oscar and Ray Holden; and sister, Nellie Osborne.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Vance (Mike Marshall) of New Orleans, LA; sister, Lucy Moore of Bristol, TN; brother, Charles Feathers of Bristol, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
In Bristol, she worked at Lee Theater and in retail sales at Rose's and McCrory's. While in Biloxi, along with being a housewife, she volunteered at Keesler Air Force Base Chaplains' office for several years. She also became a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The family wishes to thank caregivers, Willene Peyton and Mary Gaines, Joan Williams of Southern MS Planning and Development District, SADD Home Health, Canon Hospice, Keesler Medical, and friends at the Kingdom Hall for all their special care.
Pallbearers will be Conny Wilson, Mark Wilson, Jody Arguelles, Lynwood Anderson, and Miles Turner.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018, at 11:00 AM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, MS, with a visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until the service. Committal services will follow at 12:30 PM at Biloxi National Cemetery.
