Lucille ""Sue"" Tillman, 92, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 in Madison, MS.
She was born in Tulsa, Ok and graduated from Monte Cassino High School. She spent her college years at St. Mary's of Notre Dame and Manhattanville College in NYC. She graduated from the University of Tulsa majoring in music and languages.
She was a past member of Chi Omega Sorority, The Junior League of Tulsa and the Four Seasons Garden Club as well as the Merry Maskers Carnival Organization.
She moved to New Orleans in 1947 where she met Dr. Albert Tillman when she was working at Tulane. They were married when Dr. Tillman completed his fellowship with Dr. Alton Ochsner. They moved to Temple, TX where they resided for several years.
In 1954, they moved to Gulfport where Dr. Tillman established his private surgical practice and was active on staff at Memorial Hospital until his death in 1972.
During her time in Gulfport, Sue was very active in the music and theatre community. She was co-owner of The Studio of the Arts and founding member of Gulfport Music Teachers Assn. She was a member of the Miss Music Teachers Assn and Natl Association of Music Teachers. She performed in many concerts, recitals and fund raisers.
She was a lifelong member of the Coast Medical Auxiliary and St. John's Catholic Church.
In 2005 Sue moved to St. Katherine's Village in Madison, MS where she resided until her death.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Albert Tillman; her parents, Kathleen and Theodore Tack of Tulsa; her sisters, Mrs. Robert Kraft (Katie) Smith and Mrs. Earnest ""Sis"" Carrere both of New Orleans; her brother, Rev. Theodore Tack of Tulsa, former Prior General of the Augustinian Order of Priests.
She is survived by seven children, Kathleen (Robert) Moody, Albert Tillman, Alison (John) Lewis, Ted (Karen)Tillman, Suzanne (Charles) Middleton, Marcia (Norman) Assad and Michael(Lori) Tillman; seventeen grandchildren, Ryan and Shaun Moody, Sean and Matthew Simmons, Drew, Savannah and Christian Tillman , Chase, Chelsea, Chad and Courtney Middleton; Michael and Blake Singleton; Taylor and Maggie Wallace; Michael and Madeline Tillman; eleven great grandchildren, Sydney, Cameron and Rives Moody, Ellen, Anna, and Jack Simmons, Bailey, Maggie, Cooper, Greyson and Reed Singleton .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church in Gulfport on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00AM with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to Mass.
