Surrounded by loved ones, Lucille Elaine Kinney made her entry into Heaven on Friday, April 18th, 2025 at her home in Ocean Springs, MS. Lucille was a beloved wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and master seamstress. Although she held many titles, being called “MeMe” by her grand and great-grandchildren was certainly her favorite. Lucille was a life-long resident of the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, where you can find much of work adorned in the homes of so many. She was full of faith and unwavering love, whose life was rooted in devotion to her church (Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast) and the family she held so dear.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Zeolide Scarborough; a brother, Lester Scarborough; and a beloved grandson, Shawn Kinney.
Those who are left to continue her love and legacy include her husband of 62 years, William E. Kinney; her loving and devoted children and their spouses: Lamar Kinney (Tina), Michele Synesael (Gary), Brian Kinney ( Dusti), Gregory Kinney (Lisa), and Kevin Kinney (Alison); her siblings: Vivian Drawdy (Lewis), Oscar Scarborough, and Charles Scarborough (Charlotte); her grandchildren: Brandon Synesael (Amber), Yolanda Kincanon (Steve), Dustin Kinney (Andrea), Cameron Kinney, Zachery Kinney (Kristi), Cody Kinney (Brooke), Lindsay Thibodeaux (Nick), Ryan Teague (Sarah), Neely Kinney, Blake Kinney and Lia Kinney; and her great-grandchildren: Hunter Kinney, Stella Kinney, Olivia Kinney, Anna Kate Synesael, Lainey Belle Synesael, Lorryn Kincanon, Matthew Kincanon, Brody Kincanon, Everleigh Kincanon, Boston Kinney, Jensen Kinney, Brooklyn Kinney, Kinsleigh Kinney, Kahlani Kinney, Libby Rose Thibodeaux, Whalen Teague, and Norah Teague.
In addition to her family, she leaves behind a host of treasured friends, including but not limited to Shirley Dunaway, Nelda Vuyovich, and Evelyn Ferguson.
Visitation will be held at The Pentecostals of the Gulf Coast (1907 Popps Ferry Rd | Biloxi) on Saturday, April 26, 2025 for friends and family at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Ocean Springs, MS.
