Louise Angeline O’Brien, 90, of Long Beach, Mississippi, passed away April 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth J. O’Brien, Sr., with whom she shared 59 years of marriage. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth O’Brien, Jr.; her parents, Jennie and Joseph Angeline, Sr.; her brother, Joseph Angeline, Jr., and his beloved wife, Sandy, her sister-in-law and best friend; and her sister, Josephine Bonanno.
Louise is survived by six of her seven children: Kathie (Mark) Harshbarger, Eileen (Jeff) Jenkins, Timothy (Paula) O’Brien, Patrick O’Brien, Maureen O’Brien, and Louise O’Brien (Jeff Cabe).
She was a cherished grandmother to Erin (Ronnie) Vanney, Kenneth Harshbarger, Kara Worthington, Nikki (Tabor) Kraft, Devin O’Brien Verner, Alyssa O’Brien, Kelly (Chris) Lach, Caitlyn (Ricky) Cordero, Andrea (Kevin) Keen, Brian Jenkins, Katie O’Brien, Kenny O’Brien, Jared (Kerri) Dominguez, Zachary (Erinn) Dominguez, and Dylan Dominguez.
She was also blessed with 24 great-grandchildren, whom she adored: Shelby, Caroline, Tess, Everett, Jillian, Lily, Owen, Evelyn, Sadie, Alvin, Otto, Jaden, Jack, Anastasia, Cecilia, Emmie, Eli, Abram, Maybree, Leo, Archer, Cohen, Clarissa, and Quinn.
A faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Louise lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and generosity. She was active in the Long Beach Senior Center, where she enjoyed Bingo, card games, outings, and time with friends.
She was known for her baking, Italian cooking, and the joy she brought to her family. Petite in stature and lovingly nicknamed “Munchkin” by her late husband, she was known for her ever-present smile, rose-colored glasses, and kind heart. Many described her as “the sweetest lady I ever met.”
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Pass Christian, Mississippi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM in the church.
Interment will follow at a later date at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Swedesboro, New Jersey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach, is serving the family.
