Louise Holloway

Louise H. Holloway, age 88, passed away on December 22, 2016 in Gulfport, MS. Louise was a long-time resident of Laurel, MS where she worked for many years in the Laurel School District, most of the time as a secretary at R. H. Watkins High School. She was a devoted parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Laurel, serving through the years as a Eucharistic Minister, CCD Teacher, and RCIA sponsor. She was also a committed daughter, sister, wife and a proud mother and grandmother.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. "Hal" Holloway; her parents, Heyward E. "Gene" Hall and Louise I. Albin; son, Michael J. Holloway; two brothers, William P. "Billy" Perry and Thomas E. Albin; and one sister, Mary Patricia "Pat" Deflorio.
She is survived by five children, Julia F. Holloway of Alexandria VA, Patricia L. Holloway of Gulfport, MS, H. Eugene "Gene" (Joan) Holloway of Palmdale, CA, M. Katharine "Kate" Holloway (Charles Reynolds) of Lansdale, PA, and Martha A. Holloway (Paul Fischer) of Vienna, VA; one sister, Dorothy Straub; seven grandchildren, Megan Bachman (Clark), Travis Holloway, Kelly Holloway, Kevin Reynolds, Ryan Reynolds, Jeffrey Reynolds, and Eliza Fischer; and one great-grandchild, Thomas Bachman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on January 6, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Biloxi. The family will receive friends one hour prior to mass. Interment will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, Library and Music Program.
